Marriage, Family, and Vocation

Here's an interview with Dr. Julie Hanlon Rubio, Ph.D., of Saint Louis University on marriage and family ethics. As we conclude our unit on vocation, please consider how a family (or your family) might respond to the Gospel's invitation to be compassionate to those marginalized in our community. Furthermore, if you choose to get married, will your marriage have a "dual vocation?"

As we continue watching Xavier Beauvois' film, Of Gods and Men pay close attention to the themes of brotherhood, prayer, religious life, and what Lutheran theologian Dietrich Bonhoffer calls "the cost of discipleship."
